Imanol Elizasu

Imanol is a week known professional in musical and choir circles. In his long and varied musical trajectory he has worked and works as a choir director, pianist and soloist.

Under the tutelage of Gabriel Baltes, Imanol completed his master level studies for choral directors in Musikene. As the choir director he has participated in different festivals and choir competitions: Tolosa, Cantonigros and Manlleu (Barcelona), Torrevieja, Shaoxing (China), Castelnaudary, Dax y Mont De Marsan (France), Llangollen (UK), Shorndorf, Altensteig (Germany), etc…. He is regularly invited by different choral federations and educational departments to give courses and workshops.

He studied master level piano and music in San Sebastian with Maruxa Llorente and Cristian Ifrim. He continued his piano studies with Albert Jimenez Atenelle and received his certificate of interpretation with honors from the Ghidhall School of Music and Drama in London.

He studied vocal techniques under Juan Eraso. He has performed in diverse settings as a bass-baritone soloist, collaborating with: Duo del Valle, Bayonne Regional Orchestra-Cote Basque, Laetitia Casabianca, Didier Boiture, Valérie Fayet and Michel Sendrez among others.

He was also the teacher of vocal techniques in the Maurice Ravel de Bayonne Conservatory.
