From tomorrow, August 29 and until September 10, 50 young people between 13 and 22 years old belonging to the youth choir Zariagaz of Zaria Koru Eskola of Errenteria will carry out a tour in different cities of the Czech Republic. The pupils of the center directed by Imanol Elizasu will offer four concerts in collaboration with the Children's Choir of Sušice, the children's and youth choir Camella of Nový Bor and the children's choir Canto of Náchod.
The tour that they will undertake tomorrow will undoubtedly be an important experience for the young people who travel to the Czech Republic: in addition to the concerts they will offer in the different cities they will visit, during their stay in the Czech lands the young people of errenteriarras will live with the families of the members of the three choirs with which Zariagaz carries out the exchange; therefore, in addition to the stage, they will share experiences, work sessions, etc. This tour is a good opportunity to know how they work in the three schools of art on which the choral groups depend and, at the same time, to show the Czech public the work of Zariagaz. The different choirs of Zaria Koru Eskola and the choirs of Navý Bor and Náchod have already coincided in the past, at the international festivals of Persan (Paris, 2017) and Castelnaudary (2018); this is the first time that Zaria Koru Eskola collaborates with the choir of Sušice.
Zariagaz will give four concerts in the Czech Republic: on September 1st he will perform in Sušice, a town located in the south of the Pilsen region; he will share the stage with the Choir of the Sušice Art School, founded in 1969 by Josef Baierl, its current director, and which today is composed of 200 boys and girls from 5 to 19 years of age. On September 3 Zariagaz will perform in Nový Bor, in the church Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie; Nový Bor is a town near Prague, located in northern Bohemia, an area known for the manufacture of glass pieces; there Zariagaz will collaborate with the Camella choir, dependent on the Art School of the city, thanks to the joint work of Jiří Štrobl, director of Camella, and Imanol Elizasu; Camella has been training girls, boys and young people in choral music since 1993 and today has 130 members distributed in three choirs: female, children's and mixed. Then it will travel to the city of Náchod, where it will offer concerts on September 6 and 7: in the church of Saint Laurel and in the Great Hall of the castle of Náchod, where it will take part in the concert Concert for the Duke; in this city it will work together with the choir Canto, which last June was in Errenteria, invited by Zaria Koru Eskola.
The young people of Zariagaz will present a varied repertoire that includes an important presence of works by Basque composers from different periods: Junkal Guerrero, Jesús Guridi, Norberto Almandoz, Eva Ugalde, Aita Donostia, etc.
